How To Set Up A Minecraft Server LAN

You can share the worlds that you create with other players on your network in real time -- Minecraft, which allows you to open your game up to your local area network, also includes the option to share your worlds with others. To access your world, players do not need to log on to your physical network. However software like LogMeIn Hamachi (Comodo Unite), and Wippien allows you to create virtual networking LANs with other users around the world. These virtual LANs look exactly the same as physical networks to Minecraft. To host a LAN game in Minecraft, connect the other players to your virtual network, and then configure the game to allow other users. Virtual LAN Download, install and open LogMeIn Hamachi, Comodo Unite or Wippien (links in the Resources). Click the power button to create Hamachi. For Comodo Unite, click Register a New Account, fill out the form, and then click Register. For Wippien, fill out the form that appears when you open the program, and then click OK to create a Jabber account. Click Create a New Network in Hamachi. For Comodo Unite: Click Sign Me in, select Networks, then click Create New Network. For Wippien, click the + icon on the toolbar, and then click Add/Remove Contacts. Enter a network name and password, and then click Create in Hamachi. For Comodo Unite, enter a network name and password, check Enable VPN, and then click Create. For Wippien enter the Jabber ID from another player, click Add contact, and then click on OK. To allow them to connect to the virtualLAN, give your Jabber ID (or the virtual network name) to the other players. Physical LAN To open the Networks pane, click the signal bar in Desktop mode. Select your wireless network and click Connect Enter your security key, if applicable, and then click Connect again to sign the computer on to the LAN. Server setup Open Minecraft, click on Singleplayer, then click on Create New World. Enter a name for your world in the World Name field and click Game Mode Survival to change the game to Survival, Hardcore, or Creative. To load a new world, click Create New World. To open Game Options, press Esc immediately after the game loads. Minecraft servers list
